A green Carddass Charizard prism in PSA 10 sold for $100,100 on PSA's own eBay store

The first six-figure sale of a 1996 Bandai Carddass card closed on 6 October 2026, one day after the set's previous record. Here is every PSA 10 Charizard prism sale we hold since 2018, and what the green and red versions have each sold for.

The seller was PSA itself, through the eBay store it runs for consigned cards. The listing, item 117435868961, ran as a plain auction and closed at $100,100 after 44 bids on the evening of Tuesday 6 October 2026. The card is cert 28897875, a 1996 Bandai Carddass Charizard prism, #6, graded GEM MT 10, and the banner across its foot is green. PSA's own report puts the Charizard prism's PSA 10 population at 113 with none graded higher, so this card is one of 113 and the label says nothing about which colour it is. That is the gap this site exists to fill: of the 113, we have attributed 27 to the red version and 21 to the green, with 9 more found but not yet read for colour, as of 7 October 2026.

Every figure in this report comes from the 288 PSA 10 sales of the twelve prisms we hold, March 2018 to 6 October 2026, gathered from Fanatics Collect, eBay (directly and through PSA's own sales records on each cert page) and Goldin. Each cert was read off the slab photo and checked against PSA's cert page, and the colour is the banner read off the photo, never the word in a listing title. One eBay best-offer listing from April 2026 is left out because its accepted price is not public.

Two Charizard records in two days

The $100,100 sale did not break a long-standing record. It broke a one-day-old one. On 5 October a red Charizard prism, cert 63942285, sold on Fanatics Collect at a fixed price of $79,720. That same slab had sold on eBay on 11 August 2026 for $47,696 (a best offer, the figure from PSA's record of the sale), so its owner made $32,024 in eight weeks. Before August, the record was $54,000, a red copy (cert 27193366) at Fanatics on 19 June 2026, and that slab had sold at the same house for $8,400 fourteen months earlier.

The January 2021 figure matters because it stood for more than five years. The 2021 peak took one Charizard prism to $30,100; the next five years of sales sat between $3,480 and $17,400, and a $30,000 sale in January 2025 fell $100 short of it. The record only moved in April 2026, and then moved four more times in six months.

Every Charizard prism PSA 10 sale of the past three years

We hold 31 sales of the card from October 2023 to 6 October 2026, every one plotted below. The flat stretch is real: through 2024 the ten sales ran from $3,720 to $14,400 with a median of $9,300, and the twelve sales of 2025 had a median of $8,550. The eight sales of 2026 have a median of $40,048. The same card has sold for more than four times its 2025 price this year.

One slab shows the whole move on its own. The green copy cert 25917060 sold at Fanatics Collect for $228 in July 2018, for $7,800 in April 2025, and for $21,900 in May 2026. Its consecutive cert, 25917059, is a red copy from the same grading submission, and sold beside it in 2018 for $265.

Red against green

The record is green. The ladder beneath it is mostly red: of the ten highest Charizard prism PSA 10 sales, 6 are red and 4 are green, and until Tuesday the top seven were all red. Over the past 24 months the red version has sold 13 times at a median of $10,200, the green 10 times at a median of $8,550. Across all 38 sales since 2018 the medians are $10,200 red and $8,700 green. A difference of that size, on samples of ten and thirteen, is a lean, not a rule, and the two lines below sit almost on top of each other until the autumn of 2026.

The census does not yet say which colour is scarcer in PSA 10. Of the 113 Charizard prisms PSA has graded 10, we have seen 57 and read the colour on 48: 27 red, 21 green. The other 56 have never appeared in a sale photo or a PSA photo we can reach, and most of them carry certs from before PSA photographed slabs, so they will only be counted when an owner adds the cert with a photo. Until then a red lead of six among the ones we have seen is consistent with an even split.

The rest of the set moved in the same week

The Charizard sale closed a week in which the whole set re-priced. On 4 October a green Venusaur prism sold on eBay for $37,000; on 5 October Fanatics Collect's weekly auction closed a red Venusaur and a green Venusaur at $38,400 each, a red Blastoise at $40,800 and a green Blastoise at $22,200, and a second red Venusaur sold on eBay for $37,000. Before that week no Venusaur or Blastoise prism in our records had sold above $20,000.

All twelve prisms in PSA 10: PSA's population (4 October 2026), the record sale we hold, and the median of the past twelve months of sales. Click a card for every attributed copy with its photo.

Across the set, red has sold for more than green on 8 of the 11 cards with sales of both colours in the past 24 months (Blastoise, Alakazam and Articuno lean green; no red Moltres has sold in that window). Set-wide, the 2025 to 2026 medians are $3,738 for red over 74 sales and $2,600 for green over 59. Red copies also turn up more often in our census, 161 attributed against 137 green among the 1,001 PSA 10 prisms, which could mean more reds were graded, or only that more reds have been photographed.

Questions this sale raises

Is $100,100 the most ever paid for a Carddass card?
It is the highest sale of a 1996 Bandai Carddass card in our records, which cover 288 PSA 10 prism sales since 2018 across Fanatics Collect, eBay and Goldin. The previous record was $79,720, a red Charizard prism sold the day before.
Was the $100,100 Charizard red or green?
Green. The Monsters Collection banner across the foot of the card is green in the listing photos, and the cert, 28897875, is now attributed green in the census.
Does the green version sell for more than the red?
Not on the evidence so far. Over the past 24 months the red Charizard prism has a median sale of $10,200 and the green $8,550, and six of the ten highest sales are red. The samples are small, so treat the gap as a lean.
How many Charizard prisms exist in PSA 10?
PSA's report lists 113 as of 4 October 2026, both colours combined. We have attributed 27 to red and 21 to green, with 9 found but unread and 56 not yet seen.

Every sale in this report is on the sales page, filterable by colour, and every attributed cert is on the Charizard page with its photo and a link to PSA. If you own a Charizard prism in PSA 10 that is not there, add the cert: a photo of the slab front is all the census needs.
